Six days after the devastating floods in Nepal, the situation remains dire. HI is on the ground, working with survivors of the disaster to identify needs and provide an inclusive response.
On 26 August a flood of ice and mud devastated northern Nepal. HI is preparing a response to the emergency focusing on rehabilitation, mental health support and the distribution of essential supplies.
More than a month after the earthquakes, the needs of those affected are changing and becoming a part of their daily lives. Following its emergency response, HI is now implementing long-term support.
