Cluster munitions victims more than doubled since 2015

The Oslo Convention banning the use, production, stockpiling and transfer of cluster munitions entered into force eight years ago, on 1 August 2010. Despite the success of the convention, which has been signed by 119 countries, cluster munitions victims doubled in recent years.

One year after the liberation of Mosul, HI has published a mini-report on the unprecedented scale of contamination by explosive remnants of war in Mosul, following months of fighting. Massive and near daily bombing during the military offensive between October 2016 and July 2017 are largely to blame.

Adapting humanitarian services to people with disabilities in Bentiu camp

A report recently published by HI and IOM[1] offers an assessment of the situation in the Bentiu Protection of Civilians (POC) Site in South Sudan, where people with disabilities live in difficult conditions and humanitarian services struggle to meet their needs. The report makes a number of recommendations.
